I have the exact same problem. I just bought Lost season 4 on DVD a few days ago, and the DVDs won't play on this laptop, at least not in VLC. They play fine with other players, but VLC only gives me the aforementioned gray window. The DVDs for seasons 1, 2 and 3 from the same manufacturer play just...
