The parameter to change I was refering to was the 'Subtitle track' auto load parameter, under VLC preferences.

About VLC not working anymore, maybe you changed the 'video track' load parameter? Tried reinstalling?

PS: got an email?

.sub files

I guess VLC is having some problems running .sub files. Besides the problems mentioned in the topic named "Subtitles", I just found a .sub subtitle that ran perfectly on VobSub under WMP10, but got out of synch on VLC. Actually, it was never synchronized. :P If you want to check the files ...

try different values on the parameter: 0, 1, 2, etc.

about the .sub file, my bad, there's only 1 .sub file, with the subtitles for all the supported languages.

about the alignment, try setting those on vlc itself.

No, the English subtitle file (idx or sub) is fine. The problem is that I have to load it by hand every time. There must be something in the .avi which points to a Danish-language subtitle file. The .idx (Index) file holds information of scheduling, and this info works for all subs. For each langua...

VLC can both play and stream RTSP.

to stream RTSP, you must use the VLM component : http://videolan.org/doc/streaming-howto/en/ch05.html
there're some rtsp online radios that I've never got to play.

Re: Subtitles

Did not work for me. Click on the movie (VLC loads), stop movie, Ctrl-F, browse to same movie name, check "Subtitle Options", click "OK" did not load filename.sub or filename.idx. In addition, I had to click Settings and browse to the desired subtitles file. Then the subtitles w...

doubleclick the *.m3u file doesn´t work
You'll have to set VLC as the default program to run M3U type files, under Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options. Or just right click on a .m3u file, go to Properties and choose VLC as the default program to open them with.

1: Prefences->Input/Codecs/Advanced->Choose subtitles track thanks! 2: I agree, it is on a very long list of subtitle functionality that we desire is it that difficult? And I may be a little invasive (and repetitive) here, but what about VobSub compability? 3: Correct we do no do this. Mostly becau...

Subtitle Auto Load and 5.1 Speakers support

Hi there, I've been a happy VLC user since earlier versions, and now I get the oportunity to give some feedback. Well, I've been testing 0.8.2 test 2 for a while and basically I've got three issues, not bugs, but features (one removed and two ohers that could be included): 1. About subtitle auto loa...
