Re: How Do I Restore File Associations to an Earlier Version

Thanks but for me, clicking tools in a folder (Win7) does not bring up anything about file types.

How Do I Restore File Associations to an Earlier Version?

Hello, I have searched and read but I am stuck. I sure would appreciate an answer here. I had 1.1.11. Some videos played choppy so I fixed that by disabling loop filter and increasing the DVD cache. All was fine. Then I installed 2.0 and files were choppy again. I disabled loop filter but when I tri...

Commercial Software to Play .m2ts Files (Until 1.0.0 Release

I have read lots of .m2ts comments here. I am aware that nightly builds for 1.0.0 may play .m2ts files. My question (that I hope is OK for this forumn): Until the official 1.0.0 is released, is there a major commercial program that will play .m2ts files on a computer (WinDVD?)? I have searched aroun...

Re: editing

Thank you for your reply. I succeeded (it was a .wmv) at that but the trimmed clip ran something like three times the frame rate of the original. If I ask too many questions, I'll understand if you don't reply.

Re: editing

Arite,

Thanks but I want to be totally sure: Does your answer mean simple trimming without any concern for choosing codecs, compressions, etc. for the output files? If this is true, I am thrilled and am ever so appreciative of your final short response.

Re: editing

Interesting re Virtualdub and Avidemux. Quick question: In the past, I tried various editing of sections out of a video but my saved the file was way-huge (uncompressed I guess and I preferred not to learn/try all the compressions). So, my question: Do Virtualdub and Avidemux simply take a clip out ...

Re: Canon HF10 *.m2ts or *.mts files do not play - sample

I have a Sony SR-11. Its included software (Picture Motion Browser) plays (as does your included sofware) but Picture Motion Browser does not have fast forward, frame by frame, slow motion, etc. Does Canon's software? Is it available for purchase? Thanks.

Re: I Offer to Help (Test?) VLC

Thanks. I read where the best thing to do is to offer help and I am glad you accepted. I will look up VLC logs, how to post bugs, and report issues with codec details/error messages/warnings, etc. In other words, I will "pay it forward" from here.

PS: When might v10 be released?

I Offer to Help (Test?) VLC

Hello, I'm davescra. I just posted a ".m2ts won't play" question in I hope the right place. I am so very thankful for VLC that I am willing to do some testing (with .m2ts files or any other help (my current thing is working with HD home movies) or any other not too technical effort. If the...

Can't play HD Handycam .m2ts files on VLC 0.9.8.a

First and foremost, I am truly sorry if I should have not asked this question when I saw partial refs to it before my posting. This is my first post and I want to do the right thing. Here goes: My Sony SR-11's .m2ts files (once transferred from the feature-lame Picture Motion Browser) show as 'still...
