I see this problem even when VLC is acting as a multicast video client. I've seen this on Win 2000 and XP as well with VLC version 0.8.1. Is there a patch I can apply?

Hi, I'm using VLC as a multicast client (meaning I try to open a network stream over a UDP port). I wish I could program the client to switch from one channel (multicast group ) to the next after, either a specified, or a randon time interval.
