Navigating a still gallery on a dvd problem

I'm having the same issue rlslemmer had a couple of years ago. Nobody seemed to have a solution then. I cannot navigate through some still galleries on DVDs. Instructions on the DVD screen say to use the next (>>|) and previous (|<<) buttons on my remote control. I don't have a remote since I am pla...

VLC won't fully close

I'm running XP and I've been experiencing this issue since vlc 1.0 When I view a video clip and in the middle of it, I want to close the program, I click on the red X in the upper right corner (like I do with most programs) to turn it off. Yet when I look down in the service tray, there's an instanc...

Re: Automatically mute sound on fast forward

Ok, with no response forthcoming, I guess that means VLC 1.0.0 isn't available for release yet, is it?

Re: Automatically mute sound on fast forward

Wow, this is the first video player I've used (computer-based or standalone-based) that didn't automatically mute on fast forward! I'm shocked! Anything beyond 1.00X and the audio is supposed to just shut off automatically. Even my old Apex cheapie DVD player muted when you fast forwarded (o...

Re: Automatically mute sound on fast forward

And then tick the “Scale audio tempo in synch with the playback rate” box?

Automatically mute sound on fast forward

Is there a setting in VLC I can set that will automatically mute the sound when I select the fast forward (or the "faster") button? And will the sound automatically resume when I return to normal speed? I'm tired of hearing the chipmunks talk when I fast forward. Any help on this would be ...
