Are you talking about under Tools – Preferences – Advanced mode – Audio – (+ expand the list) – Filters?

And then tick the “Scale audio tempo in synch with the playback rate” box?

Is there a setting in VLC I can set that will automatically mute the sound when I select the fast forward (or the "faster") button? And will the sound automatically resume when I return to normal speed? I'm tired of hearing the chipmunks talk when I fast forward. Any help on this would be ...
