I am not sure I understood what you said. Did you identify the problem? Because the track shows as Español on VLC, but what you hear is actually the English track.

Well, I don't know if this will be enough but at least it is small... I copied all files from my rip except the VOBs, and took the first 1 MB from the first VOB (using dd). The zip file with all of this weighs 97 KB and I have placed it in http://www.diethelm.org/tmp/vlc.zip . If I drag the vlc fold...

Yes. the picture from IfoEdit shows the information for the rip, NOT for the original DVD (which is the same, anyway).
