Has anyone loaded VLC media player 0.8.1.1 with Fedora Core 4 yet? If so could you please post how you did it here? I tried installing the RPM per the website instructions, that didn't work, so I tried using the --nodeps option, that didn't work. I had the program working under FC3 but now it is bro...

mark, I think what you want to do is go to
FILE OPEN CAPTURE DEVICE then select your tv tuner from the video device list, then select your audio device, then click the stream output box then hit settings and enter the IP ADDRESS you want to stream to.

never mind, it was the Fedora firewall, I added the correct port to IPTABLES and it works.

I am a newbie to videolan, however I am having a pproblem.
