yeah it should have more infos like the properties menu of Windows media Player

add recent file list to Filemenu, you have easily access to the recent files like it is possible in MS word

I miss a function which shows the Video properties of the Video

no this option is very useful. e.g. just have a look at some image programs, where you can zoom the image by just using your mousewheel (e.g. ACDSee, IrfanView, XnView)

it is really comfortable

on windows you normally have an "Apply" button instad of an "Save" button. The "apply" button wouldn't close the preferences windows once it was pushed by the user

Zooming the window by using the mousewheel button would be also a great option

a filter for every single filetype is not necessary.

A groupfilter would be sufficient, like the search filefilter in emule

it would be great if there are more filefilters in the dropdownmenu of the open window like

- all supported media files
- Soundfiles
- Videofiles

currently there is just an filter for ALL files

- add a pulldownmenu to this (with the selection for 4:3 and 16:9)
- This option shouild also be available in the normal VLC menu, so the user have a faster access to it.

this is a suggestion especially in connection of file sharing programs.

VLS should mark areas which are currently available in the seekbar with a special colour. So the user can easily see which parts of a movie he can preview and which not

hooray I found a bug!!

The fullview hotkey "f" just works if you are in fullscreen mode. pressing f will switch you to the normal view.

but if you press "f" in normalview you won't be switched back to the fullscreen view.

Can anyone confirm this?
