subtitles order of displa suddenly changed

I was watching a film when, 40 minutes in, the bottom line of the subtitles was displayd as the top line and vice verca. When I rewinded, the same behavior continued in the part that I had already watched, although the first time around everything was ok. So this is not an issue of the srt file. Did...

Re: Jittery sound

After some time I re-tried the solutions proposed but the problem persists. Maybe after the last advice the hiccups are less frequent but they still are there. (Also downloaded the latest build). Other suggestions?

Re: Jittery sound

Persists.
Should I choose to delete preferences and cache on install?

Re: Jittery sound

The problem persists, unfortunately.
By the way, other players are working OK, so it's not a problem of my computer.
Should I try to downgrade?

Jittery sound

I upgraded to the last version of VLC and suddenly there is sonic hiccup every 5 seconds or so, no matter what file I play back. By swithcing to default this is solved, but the sound becomes fuzzy and unclear. With the win32 setting the sound is crystal clear but jittery. What is the solution? Thank...

Box for Subtitle Delay

Hello. I know about the hotkeys h and j for subtitle delay, but in one case the delay was about 3 minutes, and since each key click advances for 50 m/sec it's an awful lot time of keeping down the hotkeys...
Is there a way to directly input the delay, at preferences?
Thank you!

Subtitle size won't change

Hello. I am viewing an .avi file with a .sub subtitle file. Through VLC I can change the subtitle font but not its size. I can only change the size by choosing "large" and "larger" from "Subtitles and OSD" > "Font size". But though the change from "normal...

Re: Subtitles are not displayed

Well it's solved. Maybe it has something to do with the srt file, although the same file played OK with Quick Time. Thanks anyway.

Re: Subtitles are not displayed

I have deleted the installation plus every file and folder containing "vlc" in it. I have restarted and installed a fresh copy of vlc (always last edition). Subtitles keep not displaying. Please help!

Re: Subtitles are not displayed

I have already reset preferences ("reset all"). As for the cache, I'm not sure how to reset it. I just deleted the relevant files from Library/Preferences/VLC. No improvement though.

Subtitles are not displayed

I don't know what's going on. A few hours ago I was watching videos with no problem. All of a sudden the subtitles are not displayed on the screen. Everything seems to be OK and I certainly didn't change any setting. OSD is activated and srt file has the same name as the avi one. I even re-installed...
