Re: Configuring vlc 1.2.0-git: lua5.1 not found

I hate my rotten Kubuntu: Tried to install from maverick-respository one of these libluas-dev(liblua-svn-dev), which installs some other ones . . . But this doesn't seem to be the trick(infact ./configure can't aswell find "libavcodec" from git-ffmpeg, I compiled before sucessfully). :oops...

Configuring vlc 1.2.0-git: lua5.1 not found

Trying to compile vlc1.2.0-git with vaapi for Kubuntu 10.10 (http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=88739), ./bootstrap is O.K., but ./configure misses lua5.1, that is indeed installed. checking whether gcc -std=gnu99 accepts -mtune=pentium2... yes checking for LUA... no configure: WARNI...

Re: Open Case: vlc for "ffdshow DXVA decoder" on Windows XP

Can You give me a clue, which linux-distribution supports AMD-hardware for vlc with vaapi at the moment ? I think, Kubuntu is a bit away from it right now.

Do You think, there'll be VA-support for AMD-hardware and linux-vlc within next 6 month, and may be XP-VA-vlc in the future ? :D

Re: Open Case: vlc for "ffdshow DXVA decoder" on Windows XP

. . . is there a lot of trouble to add that API to vlc ?
ffdshow is open-source ? DXVA1/2 probably not !

( . . . and by the way: What about ff... and Linux ?)

Open Case: vlc for "ffdshow DXVA decoder" on Windows XP

Hello! I'd like to know, whether it's possible to configure vlc to use K-Lite Codec Pack's(i.e. 5.4.4) "ffdshow DXVA decoder" and Windows XP. I think, this topic is still worth arguing about (http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=79834&p=263348&hilit=ffdshow+DXVA#p2633...

Re: DxVA v2.0 on Windows XP

. . . GPU decoding on MPC (Media Player Classic - http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/) works great on Windows XP. This is luckily true, even for watching local 1080p-content with 1GHz-PC/AGP4x-Bus and proper AMD/ATI-GraCa, but streaming is NOT working properly with MPC-HC. For this, of course vlc is bes...

Hallo Ingo, vielen Dank für Deine private Nachricht ! Habe schon versucht, Dich privat zu erreichen, aber meine Mail an Dich bleibt UNGESENDET in der Outbox der Mail-Software des VideoLAN-Forums liegen. Re: Update: How to install VLC with UPnP support!!

Re: upnp_intel plugin

Thank You for that information. I use vlc as the standard-player with that Mediatomb-DNLA-server to stream MPG-recordings to my hardware-Upnp-client (Buffalo LinkTheater HD). As next I'll try to set up a software-client on my 1GHz-PC just for fun using YOUR work. By the way: It´s possible to stream ...

Re: How to install VLC with UPnP support!!

Hi community, Many thanks to Ingo for excellent description of how to install UPnP plugin. All went well until I tried to configure Cyberlink and I received error messages that gcc couldn't be found. Checked my system and gcc is installed. Being very new to Linux I guess it might be because I am wo...
