Re: Please help an idiot

I run ie, firefox and opera all on the same pc, but I usually end up using firefox due to more and better add-ons. Here's a link to a thread about how to use VLC with opera in this forum (I have used opera but not with VLC): http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34776 That may answer yo...

Re: Multiple netword cards - XP

The way I would solve that problem personally is to add speakers to the PC that doesn't have them, but you may have some valid reasons for not wanting to do that. I actually use a y-adapter to plug the same speakers into multiple PCs, and it works, so that's another idea you could try. The volume ge...

Re: Please help an idiot

You're welcome! BTW here's a link I tried for BBC content and it works in firefox: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/ Interestingly the radio link said it would open in realplayer but it didn't (You can't believe everything you read, even on the internet, or should I say especially on the internet LOL), ...

Re: Please help an idiot

OK, well that was a good guess that streaming can be interpreted more than one way. You can actually use VLC as a streaming server but that's not what you want, I think you want to install mozilla firefox here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ if you don't already have it, and then use the the ...

Re: How do I simply delay the audio track by 1 sec

Tank you j-b! I found it in the preferences. Audio delay up is now plain old k instead of ctrl-k, and Audio delay down is now j instead of ctrl-l (Thought I'd post that for anyone finding this thread in a search like I did) It's even easier now that I don't have to use the ctrl key ( but I'll have t...

Re: Please help an idiot

I've been using vlc for years and have never seen any stuttering on mp3 and avi files (I see that sometimes on wmv files but on those I switch to media player classic and the files usually play fine there). I suggest you ctrl-alt-del and look at task manager to see if your CPU or one of its cores ma...

Re: How do I simply delay the audio track by 1 sec

ctrl k audio delay up and ctrl l audio delay down. This was a great feature! I use it a lot but when I tried to use it in the more recent versions it doesn't work anymore? Those keyboard commands have been given other functions, so I have 2 questions: 1. Can anyone point me to a list of keyboard co...
