Re: VLC 1.2 volume change delay

Would you like me to submit a but report? Also, should it be a 1.2 release blocker? or 1.2 bug?

VLC 1.2 volume change delay

I've noticed in VLC 1.2 when you change the volume it is no longer instant. I'd estimate that it takes about 0.5 seconds for the volume to change. I'm using Windows 7 x64 and VLC media player 1.2.0-pre3 Twoflower. I've checked with .mkv files with AC3 audio and .avi files with mp3 audio. Let me know...

Re: mp3 issue between 1.0.5 and 1.1.7

Maybe because it contains both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags ?
MP3Diags says that it contains both ID3v2.3.0 and ID3v2.4.0.

That's the source of the bug, removing either one of the 2 makes the file playable in vlc. Also, it plays both with and without the ID3v1

Re: mp3 issue between 1.0.5 and 1.1.7

I guess this negates the need to send in a stream for a bug report?
If you still have any of the broken files you should probably still send them in because its a fairly common problem with mp3s that have been edited with every tag editor under the sun.

Re: mp3 issue between 1.0.5 and 1.1.7

I'm not sure if we have the same problem, but in the past I had an issue with this (although I'm not sure if it was with vlc to be honest). Anyways the fix that I found was to run the mp3s through a program like mp3diags. http://mp3diags.sourceforge.net/ In my case the files had broken mpeg streams ...

Re: VLC 1.1.0 RC bugs

It has been reported elsewhere that adjusting the volume with the scroll wheel in full screen mode has been fixed in pre4, however I'm still experiencing this problem in windows 7 I'm also experiencing this in 64bit, also with 1.1.0RC. Well actually, in the RC, if you hover your mouse over the volu...

I've always wondered this. Why does VLC use its own demuxers instead of the ones provided by libavformat?

FlashGekko: I get the same thing here.
This is new I guess.
I'm having the same issue on a gtx280 with h264 files. If you think it could be driver related im willing to install old drivers to test it out.

Broken chapters in .mkv file

I have a few .mkv files with h.264 video inside of them with chapter makers. Basically this is what happens. Lets say that chapter one is 0:00 - 4:59, chapter 2 is 5:00 to 9:59, and so on. If i were to hit play at the beginning and watch all the way into the 2nd chapter and hit the "next chapte...

Re: 64 bit help and info please...

I was just registering to ask the same question as I just installed Snow Leopard, and when visiting videolan's home page, the download icon on the right side defaulted to the Intel 32-bit version. I know it autodetects what OS you are running, so I was curious as to why it didn't show up the 64-bit...

Record what you hear

It would be nice if vlc supported a "record what you hear" option, I believe audacity supports this. If you aren't aware it basically records the noise that is coming out of your speakers. I imagine that this isn't all that doable since it probably requires code for each platform... but I ...

We are not sure that this person has the same issue as you have. All mkv don't have ssa. The problem might be in mkv, not in the ssa. @raziel2001au: I really don't mean to start a stupid internet fight. But he didn't say it was only subtitles, he said dont jump to conclusions. I'd love to see this feature... However I'm sure it isn't trivial as you act like it is, or it probably would have been done already.
