2 bumps in 2 hours is not going to get you help any faster. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

Try a newer build. The 2.1 branch does not support Opus in WebM(MKV)

AMV file works in FFMPEG, crashes VLC
This format is used by cheap Chinese "MP4" players. This specific file was preloaded on my device. It crashes VLC 1.1.9, but works fine in FFplay/FFMPEG SVN-r26292, both on Windows 7.
