Re: Graphic Equalizer

What you are describing would only happen here if you set custom equalizer values, but didn't set it, (the 10 band equalizer), to always be enabled. If you set it as enabled then vlc will always will use your custom setting no matter how you open the file(s), either from the r. click, d. l. click or...

If you right click - sort by - track number - ascending it will order them properly. Whether vlc remembers that the next time you open who knows - if you add the dir. to the media library and access from there it probably should The default manner in which vlc adds files when opening a dir. is a bit...

Re: Cannot play dvd in Ubuntu 10.04 (libdvdnav error)

I would suggest that overall there is no problem playing dvd media with the current dvdnav and certainly not with vlc which remains the best at dvd playback/navigation by far. The most likely reasons for your trouble would be local - whether with your setup or the disk itself, there is a very slim p...

Re: Subtitles problem that u dont want to fix :(

Well you can have vlc move subtitles down - certainly with dvd's, or mpeg2 video's. The amount possible will be determined by your display and ar of the video Just look in tools -> preferences -> Subtitles & Osd, -32 to -56 px should do. Ex - 300 - all in black, up to 2 display lines http://img6...

Re: DVD Menus from harddisk

You may also open a VIDEO_TS or folder holding one properly as a dvd from the vlc side by going Media -> Open Disc -> and then browse to the folder or VIDEO_TS itself.

That will ensure proper navigation, ect.

You can try it this way - vlc cannot start on the main menu due to some structure protection and the way the VIDEO_TS.ifo is written start the disc as you normally would - you should start on a trailer Frrom the playback tab choose either title -> dvd menu or title -> title 1, in both cases the main...

Re: Ubuntu 9.04, VLC 1.0.2 stpped displaying video

It's pretty hard not to get xvid decoding (mpeg4) with vlc or anything else, it's not a restricted format so the run of the mill libavcodec available in 9.04 should suffice if you have a packaged vlc install If your running vlc 1.0.2 in jaunty then you probably added a ppa, do you have any other ppa...

Re: (Hopefully) simple question: DVD menus?

with vlc 1.X.X you may lose dvd navigation if opening a VIDEO_TS or folder holding one as a folder or dir.
In which case open as a disc instead
media -> open disc and browse to VIDEO_TS or folder holding one
