Now I am using VLC 3.0
Unfortunately, I have to say that it only got worse
Things get unstable already at a speed of 4X - 8x

There are no problems with the disk Use - rather the the CPU speed of my I5 2500K - At a speed of 16X I got a CPU-usage og 55% and I got the following error message:
avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?)

I like to do many fast seeks of some of my video-files. The videoformat of those videofiles are in MPEG-TS, AVC 1280 x 720 pixels 50.000 FPS (and mpeg2 audio) Everything is Fine with a speed of 8X - but when trying to increase the speed to 16X, the video freezes I have done everything which is liste...

Thanks - I tried for the third time - and it works - apparently, cause vlc only convert the half of the file.
I.e. if the video is one hour, the converted file is about ½ hour???

Yes i find out - also have I tried your tip with the Concert.bat file. But the files is not converted - I tried to omit the "vlc://quit" part and there - and then there was a lot of warning message and so on By doing it via the convert funktion in the file-menu of VLC - there is no trouble...

MPEG encoding (MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4) are always lossy, so don't use that as output if you want to keep quality intact. Maybe it is not possible to not obtain a little loss - but then as less as possible

My video editing program cannot deal with .FLV files (that is Flash Video files)
