Re: adjust playback speed

I agree with MCMusic in the sense that I would like to control it from the keyboard. If I'm listening to a podcast, I'd rather be able to easily speed up the recording or slow it down (when I really want to focus on what's said) via keyboard, rather than mouse dragging on a tiny slider. For instance...

Re: adjust playback speed

Holy cow! That is awesome! And for someone reading this who needs to know how to enable that filter: Tolls Menu -> Preferences Switch to "Advanced" view Under the "Audio" section (expand it if you need to), click on "Filters" node Click the checkbox by "Scale audio...

Re: adjust playback speed

I too would be interested in being able to change the increment by which the plus (+) shortcut speeds up the playback. I listen to podcasts, and love that I can change the speed to shorten how long it takes to listen. But I find that the jump to 1.5x is a little too fast sometimes. (it would be grea...

Re: using VLC to convert files.

Found the answer for my issue (in the post above) by searching around the forums for other terms.

I added samplerate=44100 to the transcode section of my parameter string and the speed is back to normal!

Re: Extreme noob. Please help!

Incidentally, as I posted on my other thread, I added samplerate=44100 to the transcode section of the parameter string and it works fine now.

Re: Transcoding from MP4(HE-AAC) to MP3 - Getting Half Speed!

Found the Answer! The samplerate needed to be added to the parameter string, in the transcode section... :sout=#transcode{acodec=mp3,ab=128,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:duplicate{dst=std{access=file,mux=raw,dst=C:\XXXXXX\song.mp3}} Now it works fine. Maybe that could be added to the MP3 profile?

Re: using VLC to convert files.

I am transcoding to MP3 and am getting the same results: where the result file is at half speed.

If anyone knows anything about that, I have another thread I've started for that issue...
Transcoding from MP4(HE-AAC) to MP3 - Getting Half Speed!

It would be great to get this working.

Thank you.

Re: Extreme noob. Please help!

My issues were related to the issues this original post was about, but the subject line really doesn't help other users to know what the post is about.

I'm going to move my part of the discussion to a new thread...

Re: Extreme noob. Please help!

I just tried it with "Play Locally" checked and the same thing happened. You could hear it all garbled and slowed down (though it was a bit choppy) as it was transcoding. The result MP3 file was just as before: slowed down to half speed, taking up about twice as much disc space as needed. ...

Re: Extreme noob. Please help!

So it seems that when you hit Media -> Convert/Save.... that is independent of the song playing. It took me a minute to figure that out. I just did it and had to switch the Profile to "MP3" and everything seemed okay. But the file was huge even though BR was only 128. So I listened and tha...
