I tried Direct3D and it still happened, so I switched to OpenGL and everything's perfect, it doesn't even switch to windows basic!

Oops! Actually, it only happens when I open a movie with VLC. Which is also when my computer changes to the Windows Vista Basic scheme.

If I open VLC on it's own, then it's fine.. I'm soo confused..

I know that if I download Chrome, I'd just miss firefox and go back to it ten minutes later. I'd mostly miss all my extensions and themes though. Chrome also just looks too simple .
