Re: VLC for Samsung GT-P3110?

Got it. I'll have to pull the APK for a friend w/o Internet access but I have my copy through the Play store now.

VLC for Samsung GT-P3110?

That's the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, if you didn't know.

I'm trying to test out VLC and Google Play is saying it's incompatible with my device. I'm running 4.2.2 via Cyanogenmod 10.1, and my CPU (Ti OMAP 4430 dual-core) is an ARMv7 cored processor. Is this an issue with Google Play?

Re: VLC iOS 2.10, RTMP crashes

Okay, so that I'm not spamming up the forums too much, I've put the result on a dedicated Gist . The size of the log just doesn't lend itself for it. Note I did do a clean quit afterwards. Edit: FYI on the delay, the streaming artist had various RL issues, such as visitors, and couldn't stream until...

...and negative on MacOS 2.1.0. It just says "Can't open this MRL, check the logs," but the logs say... well, here's the entire thing: main debug: VLC media player - 2.1.0 Rincewind main debug: Copyright © 1996-2013 the VideoLAN team main debug: revision 2.1.0-0-gedd8835 main debug: confi...

Well, they did start their iOS buyback program a week before announcing the newer phones.

Re: VLC for iOS 2.1 Video problem

iPad 3 own GPU can't drive a Retina display. This is why the iPad 4 was released six months later, which can drive it properly. It's a hardware issue, something VLC can't really fix.

Call Apple about trading your iPad 3 in.

Re: VLC for iOS 2.1 and NAS (UPNP)

If you can't get a solid one, you can build a test rig with the Raspberry Pi (aka my setup). Check around if you can pick up a Model B, a power supply, and a 32 gig Class 10 SD card for it. It shouldn't cost more than $60 US, and I know you should be able to get it locally. Raspberry Pi is at http:/...

VLC iOS 2.10, RTMP crashes

I'm viewing an artists stream (including today, and the stream is NSFW so excuse me for not pushing the URLs), and he's streaming up from XSplit to the Red5 server, and showing it in JW player. The stream uses a RTMP URL. I can use rtmpdump piped to MPlayer to view it, or ffmpeg (authentic, not liba...

Re: VLC for iOS 2.1 and NAS (UPNP)

I'll add to the pile here. VLC iOS 2.1 against a MediaTomb server on a Raspberry Pi. Shows up, but no file index at all.

Re: Low-latency screen:// streaming.

Switched away from VNC and now using x11vnc on the main screen, and JollysFastVNC connected to x11vnc. The latter does full screen without blanking out other screens, which is quite nice.

Low-latency screen:// streaming.

Guess I better post here. I'm trying to stream one desktop from a Linux Gentoo box over to another on an iMac (an alternate monitor). This is so I can run CamTwist on the desktop and stream the results (in this case, me drawing artwork in Gimp) to Ustream (a live broadcaster). My current setup has m...
