Re: GUIDE: Programmatic Access to VLC from Java in Windows

I've been succesfull in integrating vlc in java using the same jvlc binaries. The steps i took are identical.
I am using the latest release of vlc (0.9.8a) right now, all seems to be running quite well.
I'm wondering whether new jvlc releases will be released? It seems quite silent at their website.

opengl closes vlc

We got 2 systems each having 2 video cards, a matrox and an ati one, and 3 monitors. 2 monitors are connected to the matrox and the last monitor to the ati card. The issue is that I've been trying to use opengl as video output for vlc. All goes well when we try to open the file on the monitors conne...

Re: JVLC dead?

I found the problem. In my case, JVLC created JNA's tmp files in my Temp directory. When destroying a JVLC instance, the JNA's tmp file is not removed (JVLC instance is started as a process and destroyed by the parent process). The amount of files increases, thus slowing the system down.

Re: JVLC dead?

Any news of JVLC next release?
I've been using JVLC for some time now and I have noticed that after creating & destroying multiple JVLC instances, the creation of the next instance has become slow (minutes).

Re: online streaming video freeze

Allright, my guess is to look at the buffer processing ...
I've got a workaround though, automatically restarting the stream after an hour or two resolves the freezing video problem.
I hope the next version will resolve this issue. That will be awesome!
Thank you ...

Re: online streaming video freeze

Memory usage seems to be stable. It looks like it is related to the buffer. For example, with a buffer of 500ms initially the video is delayed for exactly 500ms, but after a couple of hours the video lost its delay and images are displayed almost instantly. Is it possible that the buffer runs empty ...
