the playing starts ok but after few sec video stops and then plays at the end.
it played ok in previous versions but not in 1.0.0-rc1

this problem is also present in 0.9.9

some FLV files which have h264 video (downloaded from youtube)are jerky.

no, i am not even getting the first frame but if i change the priority of vlc to high then i get some here and there.

i have a mkv with 1280x720 resolution when i play it audio works fine but video does not i just see the first frame.
i have Intel 1.5Ghz 400Mhz FSB, Intel D845GLLy board and XP SP3. question is can i get the video with this hardware?

play a video in vlc, check Tools > Codec Information now close the media information window, drag and drop another video on vlc check Tools > Codec Information, there wont be any information in codec details tab. it can be reproduced every time.

i don't think OS has got anything to do with this, application(vlc) keeps on accessing a resource that is no longer available like in a loop

vlc usually plays the partial video files, i can play the files as they are downloaded by IExplorer (have to find them in Content.IE5). i would like to be able to play the files as they are downloaded by Google Chrome. if i try to play one it gives error

yes disabling option Accelerated Video Output solves the problem.

i dont have the problem with other computer shutting down, problem is vlc becomes non responsive, if file is no longer available then it should just giver error message once, instead of keep giving them. That instance of vlc becomes useless (nonresponsive).

I have version 0.9.8a
there is a problem playing some flv files a yellowish green rectangular region will appear in the center of the video screen
and if i take a snapshot then there is no such region.
i like the old vlc logo the one in version 0.8.6

I have version 0.9.8a.
when i am playing a file shared on a network computer(LAN) and if that computer goes down (shuts down), vlc becomes non responsive it gives error message and keep giving them, will go to full screen mode, the control bar appears(the one in full screen mode).
