I am working on video streaming. As part of my work, I have change the x.264 slightly and add some error resilience, and error concealment features to it. I hope some one can help to to know what is the simplest way to connect an arbitrary encoder-decoder to VLC.

I have the same problem, and I seriously need to encode H264 using VLC. I hope someone can solve this problem.

I want to change features in x264. After compiling x264, I want to use the change x264 in VLC. Can you help me what should I do? Should compile rebuild VLC or I only need to recopy some of the file?

In general, is there any straight forward technique to use an arbitrary codec in VLC?

I have tried VLC to encode some video to x264. But each time VLC cashed in windows environment.
The VLC version is 9.7
