I am trying the same thing - streaming two tv channels from a dual tuner PVR500. But there seems to be an error with the color coding. The card says HCW2, while VLC wants to encode YUY2. Another problem is of course the no-sound-problem with PVR 500. Has anyone really got streaming from PVR500 to wo...

Stream one program from MPTS

Hi. I have a multicast multi program stream (with 4 programs), and I want to extract one program and stream that to another multicast ip. I tried this: new tv6 broadcast enabled setup tv6 input udp://@239.192.0.1 setup tv6 output #std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=239.195.25.6,select="program=4"} ...

Stream from multiple tv-cards (PCI)

Hi. We have 5 Hauppage Win-TV PVR USB2 connected to a WinXP pc, using VLC/VLM to stream one tv-channel from each tuner using multicast and the hardware mpeg-encoders in the PVR USB2. All in all 5 multicast streams. But we want to get rid of all the external USB units and get a bunch of PCI cards ins...

Been fidling around with quotes but nothing helps: sfilter='mosaic':'marq{x=0}':'marq{x=50}' --> only x=0 is shown sfilter=mosaic:'marq{x=0}:marq{x=400}' --> only x=0 is shown tried a lot of similar possibilites, but nothing helps. But I tried a normal transcode with three marqs and no mosaic, and t...

Hm. Strange. No debug output regarding the marq-module. Even this does not display two 'VLC' texts in the top of the screen (coordinates x=50 and x=0)... setup bg output #transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=5120,scale=1,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2,sfilter='mosaic:marq{x=0}:marq{x=50}'}:duplicate{dst=std{acce...

Then why doesn't this code display 'VLC' just below the two top video streams in the mosaic? # Background options new bg broadcast enabled setup bg input fake: setup bg option sub-filter=mosaic setup bg output #transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=5120,scale=1,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2,sfilter='mosaic:marq{...

Hi again. Tried to include two marq subfilters in the transcode line like this: # Background options new bg broadcast enabled setup bg input fake: setup bg option sub-filter=mosaic setup bg output #transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=5120,scale=1,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2,sfilter='mosaic:marq{marquee="...

Marquee/time filter with Mosaic

Hi.

I have six streams in a Mosaic, and I want to "name" each stream i.e have a marquee-text on each stream, and maybe a time subfilter aswell.
How do I do that? I am not streaming my mosaic, just viewing it locally.

Thnx

Maybe I am a silly newbie, but that doesn't work. I know I should use Destionation Target when using sout to stream the videofile, but this is just a question about the location of the image files (frames) grabbed from the video at certain intervals during playback (output module 'image video out'),...

Change folder for image out files

How do I set a different folder for the image out option? Now all the images grabbed from the video stream outputs to the VLC startup folder.

I have tried the --snapshot-path option, but I suppose that one only works for snapshots, not the image video output.

Hauppage USB mpeg2 encoder with VLC?

Anyone know if this http://www.hauppage.com/pages/products/ ... rusb2.html works when using VLC to stream an UDP stream mpeg-2 without transcoding in Win XP?

Will VLC recognize the mpeg-2 stream from this USB-device? I want to save my laptop for the CPU-consuming mpeg-2 transcoding..

Audio/video from firewire when streaming

Hi. We want to stream high quality mpeg4 for use in live-from-field operations in professional tv news broadcast. Our in-field laptop is equipped with XP and VLC. The DV-camera is Directx compliant. I have read that there have been issues about firewire use with VLC. With 0.8.1 I get colored interfe...
