Only need to swap the two bytes of each sample, right?

Thanks.

yes, it's okay to save S16L as wav. In fact, when I changed the bitrate to 128 (ab=128), seems the result file is not using the bitrate I set. Maybe it's because the original samplerate is high. The saved file is meaningless when I changed the bitrate and samplerate as ab=128,channels=1,samplerate=8...

may I stream audio out as PCM S16 BE

I can't find such a codec listed in VLC's stream output dialog. I guess it should be okay. What's the value for acodec ? Can I use it in the command line?

Thanks a lot.

I run one VLC to capture my webcam and broadcast it out as http using raw encapsulation and mpeg1 codec. Another VLC gets frozen within 5 seconds when playing the http feed.

I did read the doc, but does seem it mentions to combine these two commands.

Could you tell me how to disable the GUI, so I can run the command on a linux console.

stopped to play, but still saving

I'm using VLC player to play a raw mpeg2 stream, and save it to mpeg at the same time. After a few seconds, VLC stops at a frame. From the saved mpeg file, I know it's still saving the stream. Do you know what's the possible reason?

Thanks,
Alex
