Re: TIMECODE Display & .mts files

Is there a way to display the timecode? Not with version 1.1.x: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=78404 http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=87146 But it should work with version 1.2 so you may want to try a VLC 1.2 (Trunk) nightly build . Extremely helpful post! I di...

Re: How To Add Visualization to VLC

The tweet back to me said:

"@ElijahLynn you can get it with the latest version of 1.1.x or in 1.2.x.
It works on Linux too."

Does anyone have any more info on this?

Re: transpose and speed change plugin...

Btw everyone, I downloaded Audacity and it was pretty straight forward to do this. Audacity > Effect > Change Tempo (this does speed and pitch) > Save > Done

Re: transpose and speed change plugin...

I too am looking for this ability. I know you can speed up an audio file and also increase the pitch as well as to keep the pitch the same if you like but I want a way to save the file. I need to use VLC to convert an audio file to an increase in speed and keep the same pitch. My particular use case...

Re: VLC Player CoreAVC and x.264

You can also play 1080p on even 480p output, but you either lose details or only see small part of the image.
How do I do this? The loop filter trick did not do much for my Athlon 3200 64.

Re: VLC scale tempo audio issue with rate slider

Running Ubuntu 8.10 Tried this with: VLC 9.8a and a few previous versions I have the scale tempo in sync option checked and it works when I use the faster/slower buttons, however when I use the rate slider at the bottom to go to rates that are not 1.5x or 2.0x (I believe 2.25x is alright as well) t...

Re: Playback Speed wtihout pitch change

Ok, I figured it out. For anyone else who wants to do this in windows, VLC 0.9.9. * Go to preferences (ctrl+p) * Under "show settings" at the very bottom of the left column, make sure "All" is selected. * Next expand the audio branch of the tree * Then click "filters" a...

I found the "scaletempo" audio filter in VLC. How do I use it? Is there documentation on this?

I don't understand all the ins and outs of VLC yet.

Re: Playback Speed wtihout pitch change

I thought I should clarify on playback speed granularity. It appears that the current "play faster" speed is about 2x. It would be nice to have 1.25x, 1.50x and 1.75x and 2x. I am watching a lot of training videos for Drupal right now and some speakers are very slow while others are much f...

Playback Speed wtihout pitch change

Hi, I love VLC! Thanks for all your hard work everyone! I was curious to see if there has been discussion or there are plans of implementing better playback speed control that gives finer grained increases/decreases in speed and also does not affect pitch. What would it take to get that feature adde...

Hi everyone!

Any idea when this is going to get pushed into the latest stable release?

Currently there is no player besides the one that ships with the camera. Which Canon only gives a license for on 1 computer. Basically I can only watch these videos on 1 computer.

Re: Help capturing stream - blocky in the beginning

I captured it with VLC. Are you suggesting that this stream cannot be captured properly because it does not start with an iframe?

It plays back fine if I just watch the stream from it's source but not when I play back my captured stream.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I set the FFMpeg loop filter setting to "All" and then saved and restarted VLC. The video still plays the same.

Does the sample video work for you?

Canon HF10 *.m2ts or *.mts files do not play - sample

Hi, I have a Canon HF10 and have been recording lots of footage at the highest setting 17 mbps I believe. The clips do not play in VLC 0.9.8a. I tried this on 3 different XP boxes and a Mac running Leopard. Here is a sample clip, 13.3 MB. - http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/11004/20081130150414-statue-of-l...
