I'm new to VLC media player and have the same problem. Version 0.9.8a on WinXP appears to have troubles with skins. The menu command Interface--> Skin auswählen (english: choose skin) does not work. The skin can only be changed in the main Preferences menu... and some skins do not offer this menu. T...
