Same problem here. Codec detail window shows no information for any video files. Hmmm, given how much time has elapsed since this thread originally came up, I'm guessing there is something system related that can cause this no matter the version of vlc.

I too have this problem... post processing is always disabled (grayed-out) in v9.8. I think this was also the case for at least the last version or two for me as well.

Any suggestions?
