V-Sync option?

I've noticed on a few videos that there is screen tearing, so I was wondering if there is a V-Sync option, or something the performs the same task of preventing screen tearing. I looked through the options but didnt see anything

Updated from .9.2 to .9.8a and the problem seems to be fixed.

So I have a lot of .mkv files, primarily in High-Definition. The file format isn't H264 it's .MKV

Oh, and if there isn't a dual-core option, are there any settings I can change to help playback?
(Use video buffer in system memory, <- would that help?)
