Question about Marx C# Wrapper

I am using the Marx wrapper in a current project and I've run into a small snag. The control doesn't respond to mouse clicks. There are no events on the Marx_libvlc_media_player that you can hook into to handle things like mouse clicks. The control automatically toggles between fullscreen and defaul...

Re: Usage of libvlc.dll in C#

Functions.LibVlc vlc = new Functions.LibVlc(); vlc.Initialize(); vlc.VideoOutput = pictureBox1; vlc.PlaylistClear(); vlc.AddTarget("S:\\test.avi"); vlc.Play(); Thats the code I used to make it work. I did change the namespace in my applicaiton to Fucntions.LibVLC though so that line would...

Odysee's LibVLC - Unable to find an entry p named VLC_Create

I've been trying to use several different libraries/wrappers so that I can embed a VLC viewer on a C# WinForm. Odysee's wrapper that he pasted here (http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=28553) is one such wrapper I've tried to use. I've been unable to get this to work, and since it doe...

Re: VideoLan.Interop a .Net libvlc 0.9.x wrapper

This wrapper is not working for me. I grabbed publicEnemy's code from here: http://www.syairin.com/SimplePlayer.7z All I get is a blank screen. Details: WindowsXP VLC 0.9.8 I've got all the VLC files copied where they're supposed to be, still no joy. I've added the path to the VLC directory as an ar...

Embedded VLC Player for C# WinForm

Hello, I'm trying to find a way to embed a VLC player in a Windows Form in C#. I've tried the VlcUserControl via this set of code http://wiki.videolan.org/.Net_Interface_to_VLC but I was unable to get it to work. I am wondering if anyone knows if a way that actually works, and if you do, do you have...

Best ways to improve video quality?

I'm currently streaming from an Osprey-450 capture device. I'm encoding the video as MPEG-2 and the audio as mpga, with a TS transport. My command-line is thus: vlc –vvv –ttl=1 dshow:// :dshow-vdev=”Osprey-450 Video Device 1A” :dshow-adev=”Osprey-450 Audio Device 1A” :dshow-caching=3000 size=”640x48...

Re: Where to start?

I'd break this down into steps if I were you. The first thing I'd try to get working would be streaming from the web cam, and then simply use a VLC instance to view the stream on your computer. To stream from a webcam you need to do two things: capture the webcam output, then stream it to a location...

Re: Streaming a file at a different speed?

I have the same question. Almost the same version too (0.8.6i)

I was hoping to reduce the fps to around 1, to conserve bandwidth on our network while testing out VLC.

Cannot get :duplicate to work on Windows

OS: Windows XP VideoLAN Version: 0.8.6i I am transcoding a stream from a DirectShow Video Capture Device (Osprey-450). I can transcode & multicast just fine, and see the multicast on other PC's on our network. But I would like to be able to see the output on the server as it is streaming. So, I ...

Re: How do I stream multiple inputs? [Fixed]

Thanks Anthony. I have two more questions if you don't mind: (1) I am getting a little bit of stuttering and would like to clear that up. Will increasing the buffering improve that? Is there a way to do that? Is it: :dshow-caching=3000? Would that be sufficient to improve the quality? (2) I think I ...

Re: How do I stream multiple inputs?

Thanks Anthony. I fixed the crashing. I figured there had to be some difference between capture devices 1A/B and 1C/D. So I opened up the Osprey config in Windows and started looking at the settings for each device. Devices A & B had a screen resize of 16x9. Devices C & D had it set to "...

Here's the command I issued most recently, and the complete error log. vlc --file-logging --logfile=errorlog.log -vvv -I -ttl=12 dshow:// :dshow-vdev="Osprey-450 Video Device 1A" :dshow-adev="Osprey-450 Audio Device 1A" size="vga" --sout="#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=...

I don't know anything about capture card, here are just some remarks: vlc -vvv --file-logging --logfile=errors.log -I --ttl=12 dshow:// vdev="Osprey-450 Video Device 1B" adev="Osprey-450 Audio Device 1B" size="vga" --sout="#transcode{vcodec=h264, vb=4096, scale=1,...

Different problems now...

I got some of it figured out. I'm using version 0.8.6i. So either the documentation for the DirectShow options is wrong (http://www.videolan.org/doc/streaming-howto/en/ch10.html#id317290) or things have changed with the 0.9.x versions (in which case the documentation might be correct). What the docu...

Re: How do I stream multiple inputs?

This is what the logfile looks like on the A1 device (which is successful). What seems weird to me is that it first uses the C1 Video device, and then finally the A1 Video device. -- logger module started -- main debug: CPU has capabilities 486 586 MMX MMXEXT SSE SSE2 FPU main debug: looking for mem...

Re: How do I stream multiple inputs?

I'm not sure what debug output says because it's a Windows crash, so I just get the Windows crash dialog. Is there a way to set the logging so I can see the debug output? VLM ca be used in command-line too, with a VLM config file if you didn't cross this feature. Yeah, I saw that. I've been trying t...

Re: How do I stream multiple inputs?

So theoretically, I should be able to launch four instances of VLC and manage the four separate capture streams that way, correct? I'm looking at VLM right now and have it running on my own machine just to see what the web GUI looks like. I'm not quite sure how it solves the problem though, since it...

How do I stream multiple inputs? [Fixed]

We have an Osprey-450 video capture card. It is capable of providing four independent inputs. I want to multicast each input on a separate channel. I am currently capturing, transcoding, and multicasting one input stream on a multicast UDP channel via the command-line and this works fine. However, a...
