Re: what about JVLC??

Unfortunately, JVLC does not seem to be actively developed or supported.

But see this informative post: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=56939

Re: JVLC on Linux with JInternalFrame: X11 errors

So, no additional thoughts on this? Is this the right forum for this question - are the JVLC guys reading this, or is there a better way to get in touch with them? This is really an important issue for us...

Re: JVLC on Linux with JInternalFrame: X11 errors

Well, the full program is posted above; it's in Java and it certainly doesn't use XShmGetImage (whatever that is) directly - as I said, it's a very slight variation on the VlcClient.java file in JVLC's samples directory. While it's possible that Java uses XShmGetImage under the hood somehow, whateve...

JVLC on Linux with JInternalFrame: X11 errors

Hello, I'm trying to use JVLC as part of a larger Java application. Things seem to work OK on Windows. On Linux, however, I'm getting an error from X11 video output: [????????] x11 video output error: X11 request 147.4 failed with error code 8: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) X Error of fail...

Intrepid nightlies?

Hi,

So, I tried to install the nightly from http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/intrepid-amd64/, and I noticed that the Packages file is empty (and so is Packages.gz). Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thx,
Gleb

Re: RTSP mpeg4 from Axis camera - capture to file - issue at 55s

OK, I'm seeing what appears to be the same issue - but only on the Mac. I'm using VLC 0.9.8a. Basically, the first time VLC sends a GET_PARAMETER request to the server, I get tons of "Discarding interleaved RTP or RTCP packet" messages, and have to force-quit the VLC process... Works like ...

Re: 64-bit VLC on the Mac?

Many thanks for your detailed reply. Our module that uses VLC is on the server side, so I guess we'll just try running VLC in a separate process and controlling it through telnet or rc interface - sounds easier than doing the 64-bit compilation at this point.

Re: 64-bit VLC on the Mac?

Thanks for the reply. Is it possible to build 64-bit Mac VLC from the source? We are using VLC as a part of a cross-platform application containing a streaming video server. The application is written in Java; VLC being 32-bit only means that we can't use Java 6 on the Mac (since it's 64-bit only.)

64-bit VLC on the Mac?

Are there any plans to produce a 64-bit version of VLC on the Mac (or a universal version that would include Intel-64)?

Re: JVLC on MacOS X + Java 6

The vlc libraries are 32-bit, at least those I have. Does JVLC work with Java 5 for you (on the Mac) ?
