That is too old, as .ape was only added in the last year or so. You should use something from 2008 at least.

Make sure you install VLC into the Applications folder, as stated in the Handbrake documentation.

TRP-Format is just MPEG transport stream, which should work fine.

Well, you're recording OTA broadcasts, some errors are inevitable.

It looks like VLC is complaining about the timecodes though.

That's strange since the page you linked says it is! Maybe you post on their forum and explain the problem.

If you use the latest ffmpeg, then it should work. This is going to be in 1.0, right?
