Well I've just treated myself to a new MacBook (one of the funky silver ones). 2.4 gig Core 2 Duo processor, 4 gig of memory. Didn't even attempt to use any of the 0.9.x VLCs, as people still seem to have problems, I just installed 0.8.6i. And even that doesn't work properly either on the new machin...

I've just registered solely to add a MeToo to this thread. In the past I've sworn by VLC for just about every OS known to man, but the 0.9.X version on the Mac is absolutely appalling. Standard definition DIVX and XVID files repeatedly stutter, hang and then jerk back into life with a burst of scree...
