Sonicwonder, you tried Profile Windows (wmv/asf)?

I've tried that but it creates a .ps file that is unreadable.

Could someone tell me how to convert a DVD (or VOB file) into a format that can be used in Windows Movie Maker?
I have tried lots of diferrent things using the Media/Convert function but none of them seem to work in Movie Maker.
I have Windows XP SP2, VLC 0.9.6 and Movie Maker 5.1.
