just interesting, despite 1080p studders, task manager shows about 50% cpu usage (Intel dual core graphs: 20% and 70%), why? doesn't task manager display the cpu usage correctly, or is the reason of studding other than cpu performance? speed of the memory bus? i have tested VLC with 3 computers: in ...

length is always 00:00, probably because the length is missing in the header. many other programs (for example MediaPlayerClassic) show the length correctly . the problem is, that also jumps don't work in this case. fast forward works, but jumping is more comfortable (at last for me) to skip the com...

when using vlc as stand alone program, all is working and ok, thanks! but when using vlc activex, these settings don't work. is it possible set default deinterlace mode for activex too? pressing D-button after running activex isn't the most comfortable variant, the first mode is "discard" ...

I have the same problem. I tried with Vista 32-bit and XP SP2, the Tools->Preferences->Video->Video->Filters->Deinterlace doesn't work.

I replaced the plugins directory & axvlc.dll of the VLC 0.9.6 by plugins & axvlc.dll of the VLC 0.9.7NB, now ActiveX works also with h.264.

I have the same problem too: VLC 0.9.x doesn't support this type of files.
By the way, for example ActiveX of version 0.8.6i supports H.264, but 0.8.6i itself doesn't support certain frame type of H.264 and crashes, when play H.264 file, witch includes such frames. Dead circle..
