Well u r absolutely rite...i have red hat but it is mentioned on the site that use Fedora packages cauze they dont have any packages for RED hat distribution and unpack/untar the red hat update packages in the same directory and use command # ] rpm -U vlc/* --force when i enters this command nothing...

I have tried to uninstall the vlc but it said vlc is not installed though i can saw vlc in the startup menu.I have the fedora dependencis and red hat package updates as well.i have unziiped them in the same directory and still rpm not runinng.I ll sheck that rpmsek site....thx anyway....anybiody els...
