I can report that 'DVD play without menu' option still does not work either for 0.9.9
or 1.0.0-pre1. It crashes as 0.9.8a does

Yes. I get the same message with all DVD's I've tried. Even region free ones.
simpledvd fails with the same errors.
DVD play with menu works well on all of them.
By the way, I'm in Korea (region 3), could this be a problem?

I have been having the same problem as the original post. on versions 0.9.x. I can play the DVD with menus, but when I try to play it without the menus, it fails. Because of this, I haven't been able to transcode DVDs since version 0.9. The debug messages below are from 0.9.8a The same DVD works fin...
