I'm not sure but I think that there's better support for this in the nightly builds. Since then support for "Media Keys" was added.

Interested in the following issues: 1) Have a Logitech G15 Keyboard ( http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3498&cl=us,en ) and the media keys are locked into WMP. Would like to be able to use media keys with the VLC. Perhaps something that would permanently change contro...
