Re: vdpau & vlc

Hi, I've successfully installed VLC 1.0.0 (Goldeneye) with VAAPI patch (I know hardware acceleration is in place since prior to installing the patch, my CPU is about 70% for 1080i content, whereas now it's around 20%), however, I seem to have problem playing 720p and 1080p contents. Although in bot...

Re: vdpau & vlc

Well, I guess I did the job. However, despite playing H.264 files ok, I'm not getting good results with IPTV streams sent by Anevia IPTV streamers... Any idea?

Thanks

Hi,

Is it possible to post here the full process in more detail, namely where to get the patches, how to apply them, etc?

Thanks

VLC w/ EPG and Lirc

Hi, I want to setup VLC as an IPTV player. First of all, I would like to use EPG capabilities in order to show EPG data (at least some current program info) on top of the video image. Also, I would like to setup Lirc to receive commands from the remote control and sent them to VLC. If most of the co...

Having a fixed rendering window

Hi, Is it possible (with VLC in fullscreen under Linux without graphical interface, only rc) to have a fixed rendering window (with black background) so that when I navigate through the items in a playlist I don't get that annoying effect of closing/opening the window every time I change the playlis...

--no-playlist-autostart not working

Hi,

I've been using VLC (0.9.4 on Linux and 0.9.6 on Windows) and I'm trying to use the --no-playlist-autostart to order VLC to load a playlist but not automatically start playing it. However, it seems that this option is not working. Can anyone please confirm this?

Thanks

Selecting a specific item in a playlist

Hi there,

Is it possible to launch VLC with a given playlist (M3U) and order it to play a specific item in that playlist? I tried with the --open option but had no success. I'm not sure what should be provided to that option.

Thanks,

Spulit
