Re: split a file

Hi davitof, In case it may help you, I used recently the last version of the well-known free program Avidemux (sourceforge) version 2.6.1 dated 2012-12-21, to quickly extract some sequences from a big mp4 file [x264-AC3], without reencoding. All went fine with the following parameters : Video Output...

Re: 'Language index in use' ignored on external VobSub playb

Hi Techflaws, Maybe this old freeware program could help you. I use it constantly to quickly extract the language(s) I need from Vobsubs files (idx/sub) http://i48.tinypic.com/rri52t.jpg Select the idx file Check the language(s) you want to extract (Deutsch in the pic) Click Process A few seconds af...

Re: Stop after current song

I would like to confirm to this contribution because I, too, miss a function to stop the VLC player after each song automatically. It would be a great help since I want to make use of the player while performing a little cabaret program where jingles start after each scene. Sincerely Werner from Ge...

Re: VLC 2 DiVX subtitles problem

Hi all,
The same issue has been reported in another post :
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=103943#p351814

Maybe the file "test.divx" (226 Ko only) found in the other topic will help Vlc programmers.
Good luck guys.

Hi Pic889,

I confirm what you asked : here are 2 pics of your divx file, viewed with Vlc 1.1.11 and 2.0.3
On my old PC, subtitles are correct in 1.1.11 (1st pic) but horizontal lines appear above them in 2.0.3 (2nd pic)

Re: Folders in a Playlist

Hi Dan, A very interesting post indeed, you explained well the issue and it's reproducible. A workaround could be this, for example with 6 different music folders : * Add them to a new playlist. * In the playlist, expand them manually, one by one. * Save the playlist to a file (Media >> Save Playlis...

Re: How Do I Change the Default Download Folder?

Hi skeezix, Who knows, maybe some users need to get full control on the name of the recorded file (for some automatic batch processing etc...) For instance if you choose a filename like "E:\temp\vlc_recorded_file" then you sure will know in advance what the name of the recorded file will b...

Re: How to disable play lists

Hi tskjaerpe, In case the playlist can't be disabled, here is a workaround that may help you to "ignore" all video clips in your current playlist, except the one you're currently viewing. Tools => Preferences => Interface (show settings : All) => Playlist => Play and stop (check) => Save =...

Hello johngrey,
You're right, the record folder is not in Video Tab.
Strangely, it's in the "Input & Codecs" Tab, as shown in the next pics :

Re: VLC 2.0.2 unable to play videos of 1 FPS

VLC low fps playback was always an issue. Hello, In case it may help, just tested on my computer the minimum fps working "fluently" with Vlc : => 2.5fps or higher is ok (tested with Vlc 2.0.3 and 1.1.11, same results) => 2.4fps or lower is erratic or totally static The tested files were 2...

Hi all, I just tested and confirm the regression (test with Vlc 2.0.3) Here are 4 split mkv files so j-b will be able to test. They've been created from a 20Mb mkv file (3min56) split in 4 parts with Hjsplit Each split file is nearly 1min long 1) Using Vlc 1.1.11 Drag mkv_split.001 in Vlc window and...
