Hi Roddude, Got it, there are 90 different movies on your DVD, while my 1st test has been done on a "1 movie multi-chaptered" DVD I just sent you all infos by PM, after I did successful tests on a DVD which includes several movies in it (and several chapters in each movie) Hope you'll make...
@Roddude, I found an open source transcoding tool (with a great interface) that could help you to remove all chapters in a DVD structure. Though it's dated from 2005, it worked perfectly on my Windows XP system (but I can't tell you if it will work on Vista or 7) I made a complete test for you, remo...
Hello Roddude, Well I guess it's not the same purpose : * DivFix++ (what a great program !) fixes the avi file by re-writing it completely (index etc...) on the hard drive : it's not the same avi file at all when it ends its task and the avi is definitely repaired for always. * Vlc never rewrites th...
Hello xlegendx, I'm not sure there is an explicit "Repair File" option in any menu, which would allow you to fix any kind of movie, in case it's what you're asking. The only "Repair" option is found in Preferences and it concerns only broken AVI files. This option is found here :...
Hello jjb2010, It's the Record button itself that should indicate you if the recording is "On" or not. I just made a try and : 1) When it's not recording, the square record button has a white background surrounding the red circle 2) When it's recording, then its background turns to grey, p...
Sure I can ! Thanks Vlc_help, for your reply :) Here is a link of a 10Mb .divx I just prepared, it includes 1 embedded subtitle stream : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5J20UO30 I prepared it with the great free program named AVIAddXSubs In case you need the original .avi (10Mb) + the original .srt , I...
Hello, I got a question concerning Subtitles streams embedded in avi/divx movies. As you know, when it comes to avi/divx, not all subtitles are external files (like .srt , or .idx/.sub etc...) Some avi/divx movies include subtitles streams (up to 8 probably) that you can activate (or not) when you w...
Hi Fernando, The 2 different files (movie and subtitles) must have exactly the same name (apart from the extension .avi / .srt) But I notice yours don't have exactly the same name (there is an additional "1" in the movie name) as you wrote this : "Burn.xvid.cd 1 .avi" and "B...
Hi swong46, I had the same problem as yours a few weeks ago (couldn't find how to have more than one Vlc running) Unticking the "Allow only one instance" box in the simple settings is the first start (that you already did) Unfortunately (and very sadly) it's not enough, now you got to tick...
Hi all, I created a topic 2 months ago, related to the same issue (Open folder always forgets...) http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=86250 It ended with this suggestion : "...or maybe you'd prefer to leave this variable "filedialog-path" untouched, and create a new var...
I guess this should work :
Tools menu => Track synchronization => Synchronization
Then modify the default 0 value in "Advance of subtitles over video" (+ sign if subs go ahead, they'll display later) (- sign if they lag, they'll display earlier)
I guess you have to do the following :
Tools => Preferences => Show Settings (All) => Interface => Main Interfaces => Qt => Save the recently played items in the menu (UNselect)
Hi jean-baptiste (bye j-b lol) In my test, it goes that way, with 3 files only in this new folder : I:\videos\try#folder\movie.avi I:\videos\try#folder\movie.idx I:\videos\try#folder\movie.sub Then a double clic on the avi (in windows explorer) opens Vlc with the exact following error message : File...
Bravo Zopyrus and I confirm it : if the folder name contains the # sign, then idx/sub don't show anything
(i did this new try with others idx/sub than yours, just to double check)
Maybe this will be useful to Vlc programmers.
Hi all,
Just to tell Zopyrus that your Hotfile idx/sub files show normally on my Vlc 1.1.7 version (without any font change)
2 korean subtitles + 2 english subtitles, all appear correctly when I change from one to the other during playback.
Hello Asimo , I guess someone from Vlc staff will probably ask you to share this little TS file (2.6Mbyte) on rapidshare or megaupload etc... so they can try what you already did. Also it would be interesting to get this file, for curious members who convert files into Avi, using Vlc or another conv...
... you can choose by yourself wether you want to hear just your own voice (100% right), a mix or just the three other voices... Hi Dabola, Actually it should be possible, as shown in this picture : http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/5120/audiochannels.jpg * Clic on Left = just the 3 other voices (...
Just for fun, I just made this test, having 2 different kind of subtitles in the same folder ! For example, with these 4 files in same folder : my_movie.avi my_movie.sub my_movie.idx my_movie.srt What will VLC do if you double clic on the movie file in Windows Explorer ? What subtitle file will auto...
So, to automatically use the words (in the same folder with the same name), expansion of strings must have. srt so? Not necessarily, because there are different kind of subtitles that open automatically with VLC (automatically = when you double clic on a movie file in Windows Explorer) : * The .srt...
