Looks like your encoder is closing the connection, when the stream drops.

If you want to build live555 only from vlc contribs, use "make .live555" instead of the make from the previous link.

Re: compile vlc 2.1.1 with live555 & x264 on openmandriva

You need to get live555 from your distribution, OR from vlc contrib.
It won't work if you download and build it yourself

Re: Problem of RTSP streaming with Live555 proxyserver

There was no timeout in vlc 1.1 RTSP server.
Are you sure the BYE comes from vlc, and not live555 ?

Re: Problem of RTSP streaming with Live555 proxyserver

Currently, vlc only support RTSP messages (like GET_PARAMETER) as RTSP keepalive. And not RR packets. One solution could be to disable rtsp timeout vlc side : --rtsp-timeout But note that if the client disconnects without notice, vlc will continue to stream to this client forever. To fix this, you c...

from command line, add --demux=mjpeg
Or from the Interface go to Media -> open network stream -> show more option and add :demux=mjpeg in the edit option field

Image format differ when movie read from DVD or ISO or RIP

Hi, I have a DVD with a video format of : 720x576, 50FPS When I create a VOB file from this DVD, or when I RIP it (I tested VLC and mplayer), the picture is still 720x576 but when I read the file, the picture is distorded. If I RIP the movie, the result file will be 25 fps, if I create a VOB file, t...

Re: VLC plays only 1 frame of a rtsp/m4e stream from live555

In your file, the value of the VOP "modulo_time_base" is always 0.
In petrov.m4e , it is 1 once every 30 increments.

Is it an error ? because it seems that the timestamps computed by vlc don't increase correctly because of this.
