Hi thank for that why i need transcode, i think to distribute in the same size and dissolution, i need it not? and if i need it, how much cpu power i need? core 2 duo or xenon or waht? the most channels are on diffrent transponder, so i need smoe cards, right? if are some channels on one transponder...

Hi okay, i try to answer 1. multicast 2. i think i need no transcode 3. i want to place ready 5 or more tv-channels over 1 lan, i think i can use only 5 cards in one pc there is not more place so havn't experience with the vls or vlc as server, so i don't know exactly that i need, that is the questi...

what you mean?

i want to serve 5 TV-channels to max. 50 clients from DVB-S cards
it is a 1Gbit lan

which hardware is required for a server, with 5 tv-cards an 50 clients?
how much bandwith i need? 100 Mbit/s or 1Gbit/s?
