After resetting preferences and clearing the cache the same problem existed. Increasing the Input / Codecs -> Access modules -> File -> Cache to 1000, 2000 or 3000 didn't help. However, setting the Video -> Output Module to OpenGL fixed the 'fullscreen stuttering' problem.

How do I reset/clear the cache? And after doing that should I increase the file cache from 300 ms to 5000 ms?

VLC plays fine when the program is maximized, but when using minimal interface or, even worse, with full screen mode VLC skips annoyingly. Skipping also starts when the configuration window is opened during playback. Is there a setting somewhere that can remove this problem? Or is it a matter of lac...

callexpert, did you see Bowa's workaround? It works for me.

Using bowa's Explorer context menu workaround also fixes the issue I named above!

The thing is that I'm not opening a disc. I'm opening a folder that contains the ripped DVD files.


However, I discovered that Bowa's fix for getting DVD menus to work via the Explorer context menu also fixes the window closing issue listed in this thread!

I just tried Bows's "right click in Explorer context menu" and sure enough DVD menus work!

Now if this were fixed things would be styling.

Yep, me too: can't use DVD menus.

VLC 0.9.2 & 0.9.4

Yep, I'm having the same problem with 0.9.2 & 0.9.4 where the movie playback is interupted beteen files. (I rip DVDs to the hard drive and watch them later.) What's worse is that I need to re-enable the subtitles every time the next file is played.
