ebml + martoska static linking

Hi everyone, According Wiki's Cygwin compilation page, trying to static link mkv plugin fails because libEbml has problems with gcc 3.4 (Cygwin's gcc version). So far I've found no solution, but I really need to output a single libvlc.dll library with no "external" plugins. If anyone can h...

contrib bug

Just to mention:

In last contrib package all .la files in /usr/win32/lib have "dependency_libs" and "libdir" paths pointing to: /home/videolan/jb/vlc-trunk-0.90/extras/contrib/lib

The path should be /usr/win32/lib, or at least it was on previous contrib builds.

RTSP User-Agent

User-Agent: VLC media player (LIVE555 Streaming Media v"LIVE555 version") The part between the () is clear. It comes from LIVE555's RTSPClient.cpp and liveMedia_version.hh files. The question is (considering RTSP using LIVE555 library) from witch file "User-Agent: VLC media player &qu...

LIVE555 Compilation

Hi, I've managed to compile the latest live.2006.10.07 library using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. The big problem is that, as livemedia documentation says, VC++ produces .lib files. VLC searches and needs .a files to use live media functionality. I'm using Cygwin to compile the Win32 version (veeeery s...

libvlc.dll.exe

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this stupid libvlc.dll.exe problem?
I guess it's Cygwin related, but have no idea how to deal with it.

Hi folks, I've played around with videolan's products for several months and have succeeded to stream dvb channels to whatever client i've wanted. But unfortunately still can't manage to select a specific audiostream if there's multipe languages available, f.e. EuroNews channel offers several audio ...
