If you enable it from Tools -> Preferences... and don't touch Extended settings, it should keep on. sorry i don;t understand what u have just explained here. i did enable it in preferences and it didn;t do for me .. it still changes after every song i play ,, and what do u mean by don't touch exten...

I use the old version because of the Equalizer problem ... whenever there is anew release I download and check if the Equalizer bug is fixed or not.. i love vlc simply becasue of its ska Equalizer settings .. the sound is somehow amazing ...

I wish the equalisier bug will be fixed in the next release. its very annoying having to change the equalisier setting after playing a new song ...

This is a known bug.
