I am using VLC Windows 1.0.1. I can load my DVDs but when I reach the menu screen, I cannot select any of the DVD menu options. I think there is something wrong with my DVD drive. I changed the output modes as the ones you showed me and it seems to work. I burn the DVDs into image files and use Daemon Tools to read the DVD virtually. This seems to solve the choppy problem.

I am trying 0.8.6i at the moment. It is slightly better but still choppy. I wonder what is wrong.

Yes. Preferences->All Then choose in the left column: Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> MMap Now deselect; "Use file memory mapping" and Save. This will be fixed in 0.9.5 and later. I don't see this at all in 0.9.4. There isn't a MMap. Where do you deselect "Use file memory mapping&q...
