I'm mainly a .net windows developer but have some *NIX c-coding experience.

I suppose I could just pick a bug and try to fix it, but that seems suboptimal.
Is there a project leader who assigns tasks?

I love VLC but the large buttons suck. Plus where are the variable speed rewind and advance buttons? What do you have a vista interface programmer on the staff? If it aint broke..... And why should we decide to use YOUR way of doing it?

You are the ones that change the behaviour without any seemingly good cause.
Changing the sound is something you probably only do once when watching a video.
