i'm assuming u want ur png to be transparent around the edges... or you want some semi-transparency... and whatnot... the problem u have is that the PNG u've saved is not 8 bit depth... save it in 8 bit... however... keep in mind u wont get semi-transparency with 8 bit... if you insist on having the...

VLC itself doesnt have any such feature as yet... hence none of the skins are able to "maximize" the window...

personally i would agree with DJ... i think the release may have been slightly premature with only 2 test builds.... we all appreciate the hard work being done... and certainly enjoy this peice of software that will let us play/stream/transcode just about any file that's thrown at it. it's just that...

i really cant be stuffed logging this in the bug thing... it's too much of a hassle... problem: in skins2 mode under Win XP, when attempting to close VLC whilst playing a file, VLC will not properly quit. It has to be stopped from the task manager... this happens with 0.8.6-test1 and now with 0.8.6-...

i'm guessing ur talking about the spectrum output NOT in the video but on the skin itself... (e.g. the bottom-left one on WMP as shown)

if so... it would be a great feature vs. using a fake animated image. and it would look great in minimal mode too.

just to let u folks know... u can play "frame by frame" by reducing the speed of the video... u know how u can make it play faster... well theres an option to make it play slower... hope that helps, unless i'm talking about somethign else here?

the problem is when you type in videolan or video... there are a billion results (ok maybe not a billion...)... the server gets overwhelmed by the complexity of the query... and number of results... and voila... the error... that's as far as i can reckon edit: narrow your search down... e.g. narrow ...

And if you ask me it is no even a prob of the vlc programmers but the people who create the skins for vlc forgetting to add hotkey support. But since I'm neither able to create skins or to add features to vlc I just try to come around with it. lol... what've you been smoking buddy? Skin creators on...

reset vlc preferences to default and try it again

here's an idea i reckon we definitely should implement on the skins download page... how bout for each skin we have a "Compatible with Version:" and go on to list the versions.... e.g. v0.8.X (for all versiosn 0.8.0 onwards) v0.8.2+ (for 0.8.2 onwards) etc etc... i reckon this will help ou...

it's been fixed... the skin has been replaced in .tar.gz format (thanks to ipkiss)

so you can download it now without having to go thru the hassle of converting it

Why use this horrible file hosting... ImageShack or flickr is not good enough? my server went down so i just needed a place to temporarily host it... Anyway, It's nice, but not amazing. The cone lost it's 3D look, and the "play" icon doesn't realy blend in. its just a quickie ;) i didnt p...

yep... that's because the skin is compressed using zip instead of .tar.gz

so you're using nautilus to download the blissta skin off the web? And the file downloaded as .zip instead of .vlt?

frankly speaking, making remarks like that and then asking the admins to remove the flag etc is not going to work. I understand your sentiments that you believe Taiwan is a province of China etc...
