I would love to see this pause with single click as well since I'm used to it as the default feature in many other media players.

Every few months or so I download VLC to see if some of the silly aspects of its design have been rectified to enable me to use it as a permanent media player and every time I go away disappointed. i don't recall the VLC installer asking permission to modify explorer's context menus; this intrusive behaviour should be changed in the next release, the default should be to NOT change file type associations or modify the way explorer handles media files (right-click), UNLESS the user explicitly ...
