At the moment I can't play any videos, all I hear is the audio but a video window won't show up. Any suggestions?

Hi, after upgrading my installation to the latest VLC 0.9.2 I get no video for .mkv-files which play fine with 0.8.6.x. In the view menu, all options except full screen are greyed out, selecting/deselecting doesn't change a thing. I do get audio, equalizer works as well. Going back to the latest 0.8...
