I also experience crashes after playing network stream (youtube). VLC 2.1.5x64, Win8.1x64.

There have been 64 bit builds of previous VLC versions but the latest release 2.1.5 only shows win32. Will a 64bit build be produced?

How does one remove the tray icon VLC adds without my permission? (ironic since it's so uptight about internet access)

I looked through the settings but couldn't find it, am I just missing some obvious checkmark?
